Privacy policy
How Encrypt Bytes Labs collects, uses and safeguards the information you provide.
What we collect
Two things. First, whatever you type into our contact, project or application forms: your name, email, phone and message, plus the page you sent it from, your IP address and your browser's user-agent string. That is emailed to us and stored on our own server so an enquiry cannot be lost. Second, if you accept analytics, a record of the pages you visit. See below.
Cookies and analytics
We run no advertising, no third-party analytics and no cross-site trackers; nothing on this site reports to Google, Meta or anyone else. We do keep our own first-party record of which pages are visited, and we ask before starting. If you accept, we set a cookie holding a random identifier so return visits can be recognised as the same browser, and we record the pages you view, the site that referred you, your IP address and your browser's user-agent. If you decline, none of that happens and nothing is stored. Your theme preference is kept in your browser's local storage and never sent to us.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as the working relationship and our records require. Individual page-view records are deleted after roughly thirteen months. The analytics cookie expires six months after your last visit, and the consent choice is re-asked after that.
How we use your information
To respond to your enquiry, to scope and deliver an engagement, or to assess a career application. We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not share it with third parties except where required to deliver a service you have asked for.
Client data during an engagement
Where a project gives us access to your systems or data, that access is governed by the engagement contract and, where requested, a mutual NDA. Access is limited to the people delivering the work and is revoked at the end of the engagement.
Security
We apply the same infrastructure security practices to our own systems that we deliver to clients: access control, encryption in transit, patching, and monitored backups.
Third-party links
This site links to third-party platforms such as WhatsApp and our social profiles. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services; their own policies apply once you leave this site.
Your rights
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, including the analytics record of your visits, which we can erase in full. Write to us and we will action the request within a reasonable period, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act. You can also withdraw analytics consent at any time by clearing this site's cookies, which returns you to being asked afresh.
Children's privacy
This site and our services are not directed at individuals under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any revision is posted on this page, and continued use of the site after a change indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
