Terms and conditions
The terms governing use of this website, our client engagements and our career tracks.
General
Scope of these terms
These terms cover use of this website, enquiries made through it, and participation in our career tracks. Client engagements are additionally governed by the signed proposal or contract for that project, which takes precedence wherever the two differ.
Website content
Content on this site is provided for general information. Capability lists, timelines and indicative figures describe typical engagements and do not constitute a binding offer until confirmed in a written proposal.
Intellectual property
The Encrypt Bytes Labs name, logo, site design and written content remain our property. Work product created for a client (code, designs, brand assets, documentation) transfers to that client on final payment, as set out in the engagement contract.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability under any engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, revenue or data, beyond what the engagement contract provides for.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Kerala.
Client engagements
Proposals and scope
Every engagement starts with a written scope covering deliverables, milestones, timeline and price. Work outside that scope is quoted separately before it begins. We do not bill for changes you have not approved.
Payment
Payment terms are set in the engagement contract, typically as staged milestone payments. Invoices are payable within the period stated on the invoice.
Client responsibilities
Timely access, content, approvals and any credentials the work depends on. Where a delay in these shifts the timeline, the revised dates are agreed in writing.
Support and maintenance
Ongoing support is provided under a separate retainer with agreed response times. It is optional, and declining it does not affect ownership of the delivered work.
Career tracks
Nature of the programme
Career tracks are mentorship-led placements in which participants contribute to real client work under supervision. Selection is at our discretion and completion does not guarantee an offer of employment.
Conduct
Participants agree to behave professionally towards mentors, colleagues and clients, to comply with applicable law, and to observe the Ethical Use Agreement where their work involves security tooling.
Confidentiality
Participants work on live client systems and data. Client information encountered during a track is confidential, must not be shared or reused, and remains confidential after the track ends.
Programme materials
Training materials, internal documentation and tooling shared during a track remain our property and may not be redistributed without written consent.
